Crump was engaged to the lovely Blanche Ora Alley of Little Rock, Arkansas whose family settled in Little Rock in 1846. He knew he had heart health issues and did not want to leave her a young widow. Instead, he made her the beneficiary of his life insurance policy. She never married. Blanche was born 12/13/1904, died 9/17/1994.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas Medical School that was located in the Old State House in Little Rock, Arkansas at the time he was in medical school.
