Biography

Jesse R. Kirby was born on October 23, 1757, in Henry, Virginia, his father, David, his mother, Elizabeth Tarrent. An alternate birthplace is Frankiin, Virginia.[1] Jesse served in the Revolutionary War (Pvt 3rd VA Reg. Henry Co. Militia).[2][1]

Jesse Kirby married Sophia Choice on March 18, 1778, in Martinsville, Henry County, Virginia. He died of cancer of the mouth on December 17, 1852, in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky, at the impressive age of 95.[1] He was buried in Warren, Kentucky, United States

Jesse Kirby, husband of Sophia Choice was never the husband of Dicey Estes. Dicey was married to Jesse Kirby's UNCLE Jesse Kirby son of David and Elizabeth Tarrant Kirby. This Uncle Jesse Kirby died and left a Will dated died 1786 in Franklin Co., VA.

Executors: John Kerbey, Sr. & Frederick Rives Signed Jul 10, 1786 - Jesse Kerbey. Wit - ___ Rives, ___ Rives, Polly Rives At F Court of Oct 2, 1786, the will of the deceased was presented in court by John Kerbey and Frederick Rives, the executors, and proven by the witnesses. The security was Robert Woods, Sr. The widow Dicey married John Bartee on 04 Sep 1787. They and their children and the Kirby children moved in late 1700's or early 1800's from Franklin Co, VA to Madison Co., KY. How can this be fixed?
