- Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knowles, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Knowles daughter Marilyn, Mr. and Mrs. William Knowles of Corning; Charles Knowles, Jr. of Horseheads, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Knowles of Thurston.
- Mr. and Mrs. Knowles were married in 1898 in Addison. They moved to their present home 40 years ago in Thurston where Mr. Knowles has been a successful farmer.
