Biography
Janet (Kirkcaldy) Kirkcaldy Lady Ferniehurst was born in Scotland.
Janet was the daughter of William Kirkcaldy and Margaret Learmonth.[1]
She married Thomas Kerr circa 10 Feb 1561.[1] They had issue:
- Andrew[1]
- William[1]
- Mary, m. James Douglas, Commendator of Melrose son of WILliam DOUglas of Lochleven[2]
- Julian, m. 1st Sirt Patrick Hume of Polwarth, m. 2nd Thomas Hamilton, 1st Earl of Haddington, d. 30 Mar 1537[2]
- Margaret. m Robert 2nd Lord Melvill of Monimail, d.s.p. 24 May 1594.[2]
