• 1880 Census (with three children: Robert, Lutie(Louise ?), and Samuel and a daughter-in-law; Agnes B. Kirkland)^[6]
• 1900 Census (with one son listed; Sam)^[7]

He is listed in his wife's obituary in 1913 ^[8] but a date of death has not yet been located for him.
