Biography

This profile is part of the Kirkland Name Study.

Willis was born in South Carolina. The family moved from Edgefield County, S.C. to Pulaski County, Georgia by 1809. By 1827 they had moved from Georgia to Henry County, Alabama.

Willis married Rebecca Kirkland March 11, 1827 in Henry County, Alabama.[1] They settled in Dale County and had two sons.
