Henrietta Kirkland was born about 1874, likely in New Brunwsick.[1] She was the daughter of James Kirkland and Jenet Cairns. The family moved frequently, but were in Summerside, Prince Edward Island by 1881.[2] Henrietta's mother died when she was just 6 years old.[3]
