Maude Kirkland was born about 1869, likely in Houlton, Maine.[1] She was the daughter of James Kirkland and Jenet Cairns. The family moved frequently. They lived in Houlton Maine,[2] St. Stephen, New Brunswick,[3] and Summerside, Prince Edward Island[4]
Maude married Howard Stickney on July 7, 1892 in Boston.[5]
