Hugh Kirkland is an Anzac who served in World War Two.
Private Hugh Kenneth Kirkland enlisted into the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) on 3 November 1914. His Next of Kin was listed as his father, A Kirkland of Booyong, Richmond River, New South Wales. Private Kirkland was assigned to the 5th Light Horse Regiment, B Squadron and this unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A34 Persic on 21 December 1914. Later Sergeant Kirkland continued to serve with the 5th Light Horse Regiment and returned to Australia on 13 October 1918.
