Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Joyce Annette Kirkland Jones, 73 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Todd Sumrall will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Jennifer Jones and Miss Madison Lynn Jones. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 and will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Sam Jones, William Savell, D.J. Stuckey, Bobby Gerald McDonald, and Phillip Ponder. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Jones.
Mrs. Jones was born on July 9, 1946 in Magee, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Eutaw Kirkland and Ruthie Mae Monk Kirkland; and her daughter, Angel Jones.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Billy Ray Jones of Collins; two sons, Billy Joe Jones, and his wife, Teresa of Mount Olive, and Gerald Ray Jones, and his wife, Jennifer of Lake; one brother, Jerry Kirkland of Collins; one sister, Lois Kirkland Minchew of Brandon; three grandchildren, Samuel Matthew Jones, Madison Lynn Jones, and Brandon Ray Jones; a niece, Mary Elizabeth Minchew of Brandon; and a host of other family members and friends.
