George was born in 1927. He is the son of George Kirsch and Hazel Hix. He passed away in 2007.

George Thomas Kirsch, 80, of Franklin, died June 25, 2007 at the Medical Center at Franklin.
Funeral services were held June 28 at Booker Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in the Gallatin City Cemetery in Gallatin, Tenn.
Kirsch was a native of Gallatin, a member of the First Baptist Church in Gallatin; a graduate of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn. where he earned the degree of engineering, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, retired from General Electric in Hendersonville, Tenn. after 18-years of service, was president of the Franklin Rotary Club and charter member No. 273 of the Academy of Model Aeronautics since 1936. He was the son of the late George and Hazel Kirsch and husband of the late Love Ferrell Kirsch.
Survivors include his wife of 16-years, Dean McMillan Kirsch; one son, Ben Kirsch of Gallatin; one daughter, Carolyn Kirsch of Venice, Fla.; three step sons, John I. McMillan, III, of Franklin; Dr. Jerry A. McMillan of Gallatin and Larry D. McMillan of Jamestown, Tenn.; one step daughter, Cindy M. Gregory of Franklin and 11 step grandchildren.
