Biography

This is my Grandfather John J H Kline's Uncle. My father, John H Kline recalled waiting in the car while his Dad would go into "Uncle Billy's" house in Lake Linden to get money--Dad did not know why, or why he had to wait in the car. (1)

William Jr may have been the Marshal in Lake Linden. (2)

1940 Living in Lake Linden with wife Minnie (3)

1953 It seems likely that the William Kline who died 19 August 1953 and is buried in Lake Linden is this William (4)

Research Notes

This Bio is a work in progress. He appears to have had two wives: Berdie Leigh and Minnie Mayworm, but I'm still researching them. Minnie appears to be buried with William in the Mount Calvary Cemetery (4). William appears to have had at least 4 children: Hazel (~1887), Harvard (~1890), Veronica or Berthina V (~1898), and Walter (~1900). (5,6)

William's last name was probably always Klein, not Kline as it was for his brother John. But there is some doubt since their father was identified by both spellings.
