Biography

Maria Kline was born May 20, 1767 in New Jersey. *NEEDS source.

On 14 January 1806, at the Dutch Refomed Church of Fonda, NY, she married John Lefler as his second wife. [1]

As Christopher Lefler was born in 1791 while Maria Kline did not marry John Lefler until 1806, it would seem that he must be the son of John's first wife Mary Tilton. Accordingly, he should be detached as a son of Maria Kline.

Hi Chris, apparently Mary (Maria) Kline was John's second wife, as Mary Tilton is David's mother. Mary (Tilton) died in 1797 having birthed John (1782-1837), Philip (1784-1872), Abraham (1787-1865), David (1788-1865), Christopher (1791-1838), Jacob (1795-n/a), and Ann (1797-n/a). Maria Kline birthed Martin I (1806-1808), William (1808-1880), John Feeter (1810-n/a), and Martin II (1815-1878).
