Note N1770
When about five years old the subject of this sketch removed with his parents to Lehigh County, where he grew to manhood. His education was obtained in the public schools of Lehigh County, though he is largely self-educated. His father for many years carried on a small farm near the present site of Emmons. At this place he also engaged in running a hotel for some years.
December 24, 1864, Josiah G. Kline and Arrabesta Laubach were married. Three years after his marriage Mr. Kline brought his family to Northampton County, and has since lived on the farm where he then located, in Allen Township. He has been successful as a business man, and is relied upon in matters pertaining to the public good. With his wife he holds membership with the Lutheran Church at Howertown, in which he has served as Deacon.[1]
