Book by Arthur K Klingaman entitled “The Klingaman Family History and Genealogy” 1973. In the intro he mentions that Georg "Jorich" age 27 & Thoredea Klingaman age 25 arrived in Philadelphia on the “Samuel” on 8-11-1732. He signed with an "X" the manifest. Jorich went to York County, Pa. Specifically the Pequea Colony on the Conestoga River in Lancaster & York Counties; Manchester Twp. Near Bott’s Town. Also onboard the same ship, same date was mostly likely a relative Hans Georg Klingaman age 24 & wife Katharina Barbara age 24, they were traveling with a son, Peter aged 8yr or 8 mos. He signed his name in full. This Georg bought land on the Lehigh/Berks County line.
From above book source by Arthur K Klingaman: Two Georg KLINGEMANs immigrated in 1732 on the Samuel, arriving on 11 Aug at the port of Philadelphia, per Strassburger and Hinke's transcriptions of the port registry. (1) Hans Georg was 24 and signed his own name in full on list C, traveling with Katrina 24, and Petter 8 (yrs or mos is unknown). The Palatine Project, perhaps working from Arthur Klingaman’s 1973 family history, shows this couple went to New Hanover Tp, Montgomery Co, PA, & then to Allemangel in Berks Co. PA, where their children intermarried with our familiar names. The presence of one Peter suggests this is the one who d. in Albany Twp 1761 - perhaps his wife was Catharina Barbara? German will 20 Jan 1761, probate 19 Feb 1761, wife Barbara and children were named, executor was a son, Peter, witnesses William STUMP and Tobias STAPLETON. George signed his name in full on the will. [see wikitree: Klingaman-70 for the Georg and Catharina Barbara Klingaman couple] (2) Georg Jorich KLINGMANN was 27 and his wife, Thoredea was 25 in the Ship Samuel passenger list.
