Luke Taylor Knapp, son of John Bushnell Knapp and Mary Margaret (Taylor) Knapp, was born about 1742 in Danbury, Connecticut.[1][2]
He married Anna Ketchum on 19 July 1764[1] at Canaan, Connecticut.[3][2]
He appeared on the census of 1800 at Hillsdale, Columbia, New York.[4] He appeaerd on the census of 1810 at Jericho, Chenango, New York.[5] He appeaerd on the census of 1830 at Bainbridge, Chenango, New York.[6]
Luke died about 1839 (or 1845) in Bainbridge, New York[1] and was buried at Saint Peters Churchyard, Bainbridge, Chenango County, New York. His memorial has extensive material and links to those of family members.[2]

You may be right. Just found a will for Lucius Knapp and wife Mary...13 children. Need to do some digging. And, later was listed as Luke Knapp in the same area.
22 children from 1765 to 1802? Maybe some of these children belonged to a different father of the same name? that's 37 years of baby making. That seems like a lot of age difference between the oldest and youngest otherwise.
