Biography
George E. Knapp was born in 1852 in Illinois, United States. His parents were Edward W Knapp (born 1824 in New York) and Melissa Knapp (born 1827 in Pennsylvania).[1][2]
In the 1860 United States census, George was living with his parents and siblings in Pottawattame, Iowa, United States.[1]
In the 1879 United States census, George was 18 years old and living with his parents and siblings in Sherman, Montgomery County, Iowa.[2]
