Karen Sue Knapp Heaster BIRTH 1944 DEATH 2010 (aged 65–66) BURIAL Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood, Harrison County, West Virginia, USA

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Karen Sue (Knapp) Heaster, age 66, of Puyallup, Washington, formerly of Stonewood, went to be with the Lord at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness, remaining with us only one week and 4 days after receiving a terminal diagnosis.

Karen was one of the “Knapp twins” born to Frederick G. Knapp and Florence Lucille (Morris) Knapp. A graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson High School.

Karen married David Lee Heaster, who preceded her in death in March 2000.

Extremely talented in all forms of needle arts, she instructed countless classes throughout Harrison County and received national awards and recognition for her designs and creativity.

She is survived by her children, Krystal Ashcraft (Mark), granddaughter Rebekah of Puyallup, WA, grandson, Mark David, his wife Mallory and baby girl Memarie (due in July) of Colorado Springs, CO, Julee Richards (Mark) and granddaughter, Cierra of Eatonville, WA, Heather Currey (Jeremy) and granddaughters, Sarah and Brenna of Grovetown, GA.

Other survivors include her brother, Frederick H. Knapp and family of Rolla, MO, sister, Marjorie Bethel of Parkersburg, WV, and twin sister, Carolyn Carpenter (Bill) and family of Springfield, CO, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends. She is at peace.
