DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
It seems very unlikely that Mary Elizabeth Knight was the daughter of Mary Wiseman. Mary, daughter of Isaac Wiseman I and Mary Marshall, married Lt. John Merrell. No Knights are referenced in the will of Mary (Marshall) Wiseman, nor in the will of John Merrell. I believe the parents given for Mary Elizabeth Knight should be detached, as I see no evidence for the connection.
