Marriage Husband Abel Knight. Wife Rachel Hare. Marriage Mar 1740. Buckingham Monthly Meeting, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. [8][9][10] Child: Sarah Knight.

Died Abt 1825. Orange County, Indiana. [11][12][13]

"Able Knight's (b. ca 1715) daughter Sarah Knight married William Pemlott Lomax, a Revolutionary War soldier. The Lomaxes were neighbors of the Knights in Rockingham Co., N.C. Maybe Sarah met W.P. Lomax thru the Rockingham Co., Knights. Deeds and other records show the Lomaxes and Knights must have been friends. Lomaxes also married into Brasher/Brashear family who were also friends of Knights. Sarah Knight b. 1749, married W.P. Lomax ca. 1774. This couple went to Wilson Co., TN ca 1800 along with Thomas and Absolam Knight".[14]

Her husband William P. Lomax died 1813 in Wilson County, Tennessee. She went with her son Jonathan and his family to Orange County, Indiana before 1823. Lomax says, "the mother died in Orange Co., Ind. She was a Quaker the greater part of her life, but the last few years of her life she was a Methodist. She was a robust and strong woman, and descended from the Pennsylvania Knights"[15]
