Mar 20, 1710 He bought of Josiah Wescott 45 1/2 acres.
Sep 1710 He, eldest son of John Knight, of Norwich, deceased, and grandson and heir of Richard Knight, of Newport, deceased, brought suit against Job Babcock and outhers for partition of certain lands.
Feb 27, 1712 He petitioned the Assembly through his attorney Samuel Greene, requesting an appeal from the decision of Court of Trials, in a case between said Knight and Job Babcock concerning lands inNarragansett. The appeal to Great Britain was allowed.
Jul 30, 1718 He bought of Josiah Wescott, 12 acres for L14.
Jan 12, 1758 Cranston, He and his wife Eleanor, sold John King, 10 acres for L650.
Jan 30, 1764 He sold 10 acres to Josiah Potter, for L700, and by indenture of same date recieved a lease for life of same to himself and wife Eleanor, for sum of one farthing per year rental.
Jan 5, 1771 He sold Nathaniel Potter farm whereon I lived of 20 acres, and by indenture of same date, in consideration of reasonable sum for which he had sold his homestead, he had an agreement from Potter to pay said Knight and Eleanor his wife, for thier natural lives, half the rents of another piece of land ajoining the farm, and if this proved insufficient for support, then additions for a comfortable living.
Jan 7, 1771 He sold Nathaniel Potter for L7, 10s, a cow, 2 swine, 2 beds, 3 tables, desk, brass kettle, 2 chests, chest of drawers, 3 iron kettles, large trunk, 2 bedsteads, narrow axe, beetle, 2 ironwedges, 6 case knives and forks, 6 pewter forks, fire tongs, fire shovel, 2 stacks of hay and all goods and chattels, except wearing apparel, mare, saddle and bridle.

1710, September: John Knight now resident in Providence…eldest son, and heir of John Knight late of Norwich in ye Collony of Connecticut decesd: grandson and heir of Richard Knight of Newport…decesd vs. Peter Wells, Job Babcock, William Tanner, Isaac Shelden, Joseph Car[pen]ter, Peter Crandall, Samuel Hopkins & Gersham Cotterell yeomen all of Kingstowne…in a plea of partition, damage L800 as per summons dated 15 July 1710. In their plea, by attorney N. Blagrove, the defendants stated that they held no land in common undivided with the plaintiff…what land they hold is in fee simple, having received their title from Henery Hall, surviving joint tenant of [torn] Knight. David Knight and West Clark upon their engagement say that Richard Knight of Newport decd about 31 years ago.
