Research Notes

In the US 1880 Censes Rutha’s name is listed as Ruthyan. It is listed on Family Search as Ruthie Ann. On Find a Grave it is listed as Rutha . There is no photo of a gravestone so it can’t be checked that way. Most of the time I would look to the government document but I know that the person that is transcribing the information is spelling it to the best of there ability, so at this point who knows what the correct spelling is. I’m not sure which is correct. However I am going to list Rutha’s name Ruthyann because this is the best spelling for pronunciation (in my opinion) as the name they called her. -NLD
