Isaac Knowles was born about 1791 in Georgia, United States. He married three times. His first marriage was to a Miss Ransom. The name is not known but Isaac is mentioned in the will of Reuben Ransom as his "son-in-law".

11 Oct 1832, Clarke Co., GA - The will of Reuben Ransom names "son in law Isaac Knowles; my grand children, Thomas, Reuben, Elizabeth, William, Sally and Mary Knowles." ^[1].

Isaac then married Mary H Owen on 25 Mar 1824 in Greene County, Georgia, United States of America ^[2]. Isaac and Mary did not have any children. Isaac married for the third time, Elizabeth Kysor on 27 Dec 1940 in Wilcox, Alabama, United States ^[3]. Isaac and Elizabeth had five children ^[4][5].
