Euphemia (Knowles) Young is part of a Bahamian family.

Biography

Euphemia Emily Victoria Knowles was born about 1845 in the Bahama Islands to John Knowles and Catherine Rattray.

In his will, written in 1884, John Dowson Knowles of Rock Sound, Eleuthera mentioned his heirs: ".. I give and bequeath the whole of my estate, both real and personal, unto my Daughter Annie Knowles so long as she remains unmarried, and from and after the Death of my said wife and the marriage of my said daughter Annie, and after the Happening of both of those events, I give devise and bequeath the same unto my Children John Gray Knowles, Theodore Knowles, Mary Ann Williams, Euphemia Emily Victoria YOUNG, Catherine Jane Helena Adderley, my said daughter Annie, And unto my grandson William Thomas Rupert Rattray Knowles, the son of my Deceased son William Rattray Knowles and their heirs and assigns as Tenants-in-Common."

Catherine Gray Knowles, Theodore Knowles, and son-in-law James Henry Young, were appointed Executrix and Executors of JD Knowles' will.

Euphemia Emily Victoria Knowles, of Rock Sound, married, before 1869, James Henry Young of Nassau. The couple had children - among them James Ronald Clerihew Young and John William Edgecombe Young.

Euphemia Young died 18 April 1907 in Nassau, Bahamas at 62 years of age.
