Joshua was either born or christened on 27 Apr 1730.[1] His parents are Joshua Knowles and Sarah (Paine) Knowles. Joshua married Mary (Harding) Knowles on 23 May 1754 in Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[2] They had ten children during their marriage.[3] In 1776, Joshua served as a private in Captain Isiah Higgins' company of Colonel Thomas Marshall's Massachusetts regiment.[4] He passed away in 1779.[5]
Research Notes
Susanna Knowles is listed as a daughter for Joshua and Mary at FamilySearch.[6] Her birth was not evidently recorded, but the baptism of a Susannah Knowles, daughter of Joshua Knowles, was recorded in April 1776 in Truro church records.[7]
