Research Notes

There is no evidence that Elizabeth and Richard Knowlton ever had a son who emigrated to Ipswich, Massachusetts. This is an invention of Dr. Stocking in his Knowlton Genealogy. The Kent Knowltons (Richard and Elizabeth) were likely 'Knowldens'.
