Biography

Cyrus was born November 10, 1887 in East Northport, Maine, the son of Abram Knowlton and Janetta Wyllie. On his birth record his name is given as "Cyrus Ervin Knowlton" but on his gravestone and in other records his middle name is spelled "Irvin". But more often he went by "Cyrus Dexter Knowlton".

By 1910 Cyrus was living in Petaluma, California. His parents had previously lived in Northern California and then returned to Maine. See his father's profile page.

Cyrus is found in consecutive U.S. Census records of Petaluma, California from 1910 until his passing on July 14, 1956. He was a farmer and miller.
