Biography

Daniel was born in Massachusetts according to the death certificate of his son, Levi. This is confirmed by his birth record. He is recorded to have been born in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts Bay on 9 Dec 1775. His parents are listed as Paul and Lucy. He set out west and stopped for a time in Marietta, Ohio.

Marriage

Daniel and Ruth Holdren were united in marriage by Judge Dana in Washington County, Ohio. Daniel and Ruth were stated to be residents of Newport Township at the time they were married. There was no indication of their age or parentage. This marriage was blessed with at least 6 children.
