Margaret was born in July of 1920. She is the daughter of Frank Koch and Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Margaret's Obituary: Margaret Oman, 89 of Fox Lake died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at her home. Born on July 8, 1920 in Chicago, daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Koch. Margaret was a longtime resident of Fox Lake. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed trying new recipes. She was known for her green thumb and her beautiful garden. She was an avid Bulls and Cubs fan. Margaret also had a great love for animals. She was the devoted mother of Irene (Philip) Perkins, Brian (Kathleen) Oman, Joan Woods; Loving mother-in-law of Margaret Oman; cherished grandmother of Todd (Tracy), Crystal, Darrel (Wendy) Oman, Anthony, Raymond (Kathryn), James Perkins, Cynthia (Paul) Tierney, Carol, Laurie, Jason Oman, Christopher (Katy), Darren (Lesley), Barry (Teri), Andrew Woods; devoted great-grandmother of 13; treasured great-great grandmother of 2; dear sister of Wayne Koch, Lorraine, Suzanne (Martin) Krogh; and special aunt of 4. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and son Darrel Oman. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9, from 4 to 8 pm at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road (one block west of Route 12, ½ block north of Grand Ave.), Fox Lake. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Spohr officiating.
