Biography

Anna Walpurga Körber was born on December 26, 1734, and christened on January 1, 1735 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church on the Codorus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Johann Caspar Körber and Anna Walpurga, whose surname at birth is unknown. Some family trees give her surname as Walpurga, but this appears to be her given name.

She married Peter Pfaff in 1750 in York, Pennsylvania. They moved to the Moravian settlement in North Carolina in 1771 with their five oldest children (whose names and birthdates are recorded at York Moravian church). A sixth child was born in 1773 in North Carolina.

Anna Walpurga died in November 1774, and is buried in Friedberg Moravian God's Acre.[1]

Koerber-22 and Körber-12 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person. There's a slight conflict on her birth date. Could the earlier date be birth, and the later one baptism?

Koeber-3 and Körber-12 appear to represent the same person because: same spouse and children; church records indicate the correct spelling is Körber rather than Koeber
