DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Catharina Hillegonda by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Catharina Hillegonda:

This is clearly a transcript copy. It may be contemporaneous, but it is not the original. The gap in the name Cathrina _____________ Hillegonda is clearly visible, but I am unsure what to make of a correction in a copy. (See note on Source 3 above.) Keith Meintjes-254.
Hi Keith, this is the same image that Ronel has uploaded (her own photographs of the Drakenstein baptisms) and that can be viewed above. See footnote #3: (blue text) "Note by transcriber: A gap and ink stain between Cathrina and Helena suggests the part of the childs name was removed."
Thank you, you are correct. While the image can be found at the familysearch.org link I gave, it turns out it is already on WikiTree under Labuschagne. I will check to verify this is indeed a transcript copy and if the "original" original still exists. I did read the source to mean the comment is from Corney Keller, not directly from Ronel.
I will modify my previous comment accordingly, and then leave it to the owner to dispose of.
Hi Keith, I do not understand your intentions or message. There are no "owners" on WikiTree, just (custodial) managers of the communal profiles. And why you feel the need to check I do not understand either - Ronel Olivier is not only a leader at WikiTree, she personally uploaded her own collection of baptism images taken at the repositories in the Cape to WikiTree: here and here. If you have any issues with copyright please take it up with her. Edit: I think I might have misunderstood you, I do apologise if that is indeed the case.
Yes you are correct: Transcribed by Corney Keller, from photocopies of Cape Archives VC 64. Note by transcriber: A gap and ink stain between Cathrina and Helena suggests the part of the childs name was removed
Not my input :
I only provided the image I made at the Church Archive in Cape Town, before everything was moved to Stellenbosch when you and I were still young :-))
