Regina was the oldest of eleven children in the family of Joseph and Johanna Scheibel Kraemer. The family was living in the Maryborough district in 1881, [1]and by 1891 had moved to the Waterloo North subdistrict.[2]She married hotelkeeper John McCormick when she was 22 years old.[3] They are the parents of four children. Their second child, Edward, died at age six months. Regina was widowed at age 27,[4] with three young children.
She became postmistress of the Macton Post Office in 1904, a post previously held by her late husband.[5][6]. She also continued to manage the family farm.[7][8][9]
Regina died a few months before her 80th birthday.[10]
