Biography

Rudolph Oscar Kurth was born on 19 Nov 1881[1][2][3][4] in Beaver Dam, Dodge, Wisconsin.[4] He was the son of Fred Kurth.[4] He was the son of Friedrich Kurth and Wilhelmine Muller.[5] Rudolph Oskar Emil Kurth was baptized on 28 May 1882 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. His sponsors were Emilie Tilisch, Karl Nowack and Rosa Nowack.[5] The Minnesota Death Index shows that his mother's maiden name was Kurth.[2]

When he registered for the World War 1 Draft, Rudolph Oscar Kurth said he was 36 years old. He lived on Mil. St. in Jefferson, Jefferson, Wisconsin, and worked for J. E. Owen & Son as a foreman in a wool mill. His nearest relative was his wife, Caroline Kurth.[3]

Rudolph died on 6 May 1963[1] at Winona, Winona, Wisconsin,[2][4] and is buried at the Saint Marys Cemetery, Winona, Winona, Minnesota, under the same stone as his wife Caroline.[4]
