[1] He appeared on the census of 12 Nov. 1850 in the home of his parents at Coteau, St Martin, Louisiana.[2] He appeared on the census of 11 June 1860 in the home of his parents at Attakapas, St Martin, Louisiana.[3]
He and Aminthe appeared on the census of 3 June 1870 at Ward 2, St Martin, Louisiana.[4] He was a farmer when he and Aminthe appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at 1st Ward, St Martin, Louisiana. They were listed next to his mother.[5] He was a widower and a farmer when he appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Police Jury Ward 1, Saint Martin, Louisiana.[6]
He appeared on the census of 3 May 1910 in the home of his daughter at Police Jury Ward 1, Saint Martin, Louisiana.[7]
Ernest died in June 1911 at Saint Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, he was struck by a train, and buried at Saint Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Saint Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. His memorial has a copy of his obituary and a link to that of a daughter.[8]
