i was born in Peterborough UK and spent most of life there (well 30years of it) and then i moved to the lovely Lake District. I am mum of 3 boys.
ive been doing bits on the family tree since i was 13 and that was for a project school, guides or st john i cant remember. But that 1st tree was only a handful of people and limited information, all hand written. It was that which got me interested in finding out more and over the years i have done.
i come and go when i am in the mood to sit and look and check things, i dont have a certain time or day that i will be doing it.
my main family line paternal is lackey (came from Ireland so not easy) and maternal is haylock (cambridgeshire/suffolk)

Just a quick PS
Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.
If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.
Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!
