Horatio "Horace" Armstrong Lackey was born on the 7th of July 1845 in Virginia.[1]
In the year 1880 Horace, age thirty-five, was living in South River, Virginia.[2] In the home with him were his wife Sarah Margaret, age thirty-one, and his children Adger, Rachel and Mary.[2] Horace was working as a farmer, while his wife took care of the home and children.[2]
At the turn of the century Horace was still in South River.[1] He was now fifty-four years old, and owned the farm that he worked.[1] His wife Sarah stayed at home, as did his daughter Alva.[1] His son Ward was working as a Farmer, his son Horace Jr as a clerk.[1]
Horace passed away in 1922.[3] He was laid to rest in the Timber Ridge Presbyterian Churchyard in Timber Ridge.[4]
Enlisted in Company C, Virginia 14th Cavalry Regiment on 01 Mar 1864.
