  1. ) English Baronets Vol. 4; page 229: Genealogy of Sir John Lade Esq., of Warbleton. Created Baronet 11 March 1730-1 {under King George II}
    1. ) This family was originally seated in Kent, of which Thomas Lade of Barham, in that county died 15 March 1601. He married Elizabeth, daughter of ____ Mumbray, sister and heir of Thomas Mumbray, of Sutton, near Dover, by whom he had issue, Vincent and Silvester, wife of Vincent Nehersole , of Wimingwould, in Kent.
    2. ) Vincent Lade of Barham, in Kent, Gen. son and heir, died 27 August 1625. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Vincent Denne, of Denhill, in Kent, Esq.; by whom he had four sons: 1) Robert; 2) Thomas; 3) John; and 4) Vincent; the last two had no issue.
    3. ) Robert Lade, Esq.; son and heir, was of Gray's -Inn, barrister at law, and recorder of Canterbury; to whom Sir William Segar, garter, confirms the arms of the family, viz {description of coat of arms}. This Robert Lade married Mary, daughter of William Lovelace; of the Fryars in Canterbury and was the ancestor of the Lade's of Canterbury and Barham.
    4. ) Thomas Lade, of Barham, second son of Vincent, before mentioned, died 28 May 1660; but having married Margaret, daughter of Willam Denwood, of Ebbsfleet, in Kent, had issue, three sons and four daughters;
      1. ) Vincent Lade, of Barham, who by Elizabeth Knowler, of Canterbury left issue; Thomas, Vincent, Elizabeth, and Mary.
      2. ) Thomas Lade, of Warbleton, in Sussex, Gent. {expanded further to Sir John Lade}
      3. ) John Lade, of Adsam, in Kent, who married Hannah, daughter of Walter Cloak, of Winchop, near Canterbury, and left issue.
      4. ) Mary Lade, married ____ Denne, of Canterbury.
      5. ) Sarah Lade, wife of William Cullen.
      6. ) Anne Lade, married John Roberts, of Warbleton, Gent.
      7. ) Margaret Lade, died unm.
