Biography

Edward was born 20 Nov 1795 and baptized 29 Nov 1795 in Carnwath, Lanark, Scotland . He is the son of Alexander Laird and Isobel Towers. ^[1]

Edward married Jane Beveridge on July 2, 1820 in Shotts, Lanarkshire, Scotland. ^[2]

Edward, Jane, and their children emigrated to Pennsylvania some time after the birth of their son John (1842) and before the birth of David, who was born in Pennsylvania in1853. Eduward died in 1860, in Inkerman, Luzerne, Pennsylvania. He is buried in Pittston City Cemetery, Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, USA. Edward was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He married Jane Beveridge and had 2 children. He was a fireman in the coal mines. ^[3]
