Archibald was born in about 1840 at Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland[1]. He was the son of David Lamb and Margaret Hasson.
He married Anne Duncan on 21 August 1863 at Dundee, Forfarshire[2]. They had at least eight children.
Archibald passed away in 1911.
