Jordan Lambert was owner of a large plantation. There were a number of enslaved people working for him, as enumerated on the schedules cited below. One of these people, Solomon Lambert (1849-), was interviewed in about 1937 and described some of the activities on the plantation. He also described some travels of the Lambert family, and actions taken by them during the Civil War.
