THIS JOHN LAMBERT IS NOT THE JOHN LAMBERT BURIED IN BURNSVILLE MISSISSIPPI, HE IS ALSO NOT RELATED TO JAMES CLYDE OR ANY OF THE LAMBERTS ON THIS POST? AGNES BROWN IS ALSO NOT RELATED TO THESE PEOPLE AND ABSOLUTELY NOT JAMES CLYDE'S MOTHER! these are my Family and I keep running into this I have no idea who keeps adding Agnes Brown and the unrelated John? but I would TRULY appreciate it if they would stop. I love doing this and appreciate WikiTree but this Agnes Brown and her Lambert, Ernest L.. A Never Ending Story of the Descendants of John Lambert of South Carolina. Garland, TX: Private Publishing, 1998. Page 217 keeps messing up my Family tree and makes this nerve wrecking instead of soothing.

James Clydes (Jim) Lambert's Mother was 100% NOT Agnes Brown! Agnes Brown was married to a Totally different John Lambert and is no relation to this Family. I have no idea who added this garbage but is is false and it was Not me.

James Clyde's Mother was Nancy Carpenter 1798-1825 and His Father was John Lambert 1770-1857. John is buried at Opossum trout (formerly Lambert) Cemetery in Burnsville Mississippi. I have cleaned his headstone and I was Born in a house less than a mile from the Cemetery on the very land that most of John's children were born and All of them farmed as did my G.Grandfather William Henry, my Grandfather James, My Father Walter and myself.

Lambert-3487 and Lambert-9442 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be the same person because dates and places are the same or close, spouse is the same, most of the children are the same.

More about John: He moved to Burke County Ga. with his parents when he was 9 years old where he lived until he was 23. He moved to Wilkenson County near Milledgeville, Ga. in the early part of 1809 and was living there in July of that year. He moved there to pursue his religious calling and was licensed to preach by the Methodist church in that area. It is believed that he met Agnes Brown, his first wife, in that area and lived there until they (and the parents of Agnes) moved to Lawrence County around 1815. James Lambert the oldest son was born in Ga. John mentions his parents and brothers and sisters in his writing but does not give us any names. We need to find the names of his parents if possible. He is the only known Lambert who settled in south Ms in the early days. There were some in Wayne County, some in the Natchez area, and some in North Ms. around Tupelo, however, he is believed to be the father of all of the native Lamberts of south Ms.
