James was born circa 1701, at Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay, to John Lambert & Hannah Bates. There is no birth record for James, but he is involved in a court case with John Lambert Sr. or Jr. were James was of "Scituate Mason" & John was of "Hanover Yeoman" showing some connection between them.[1]
James was married to Sarah (Bridge) Lambert the 15th of November, 1725, at Scituate, Plymouth County.[2]
James wrote his Will the 18th of August, 1768, & it was present to probate on the 31st of January, 1783, at Scituate, Plymouth, MA.[3] The Will mentions children, Sarah Clapp, Joseph, Luke (executor), Lydia Bowker, Mary Whitton (deceased) & Whitton grandchildren.[4]
His inventory was taken on 1 February 1783 in Scituate.[5]
