However, it is more complex than just using one or the other set of dates. If John was born in 1715, then he could not have been the father of John Lambert (1700-1779). And if he died in 1736, then he could not have been the father of Abner Lambert (1749-1833).
Further complicating this is that according to Find a Grave, John Lambert, the son of John Lambert (1715-1772) and Elizabeth Sayre (1716-1760), was born in 1750 and died in 1759 at the age of 8-9. This implies that John and Elizabeth are not the parents of John Lambert [Lambert-3731].
Based on all of this, I do not have confidence in the relationships depicted here. I would welcome any thoughts on this. FYI - Daniel Lambert [Lambert-1614] is my 5th great grandfather.
