Albert is the child of Hugh Lambert and Nancy Raper. Albert passed away om 1927.
If anyone can travel to the National Archives in Washington DC and ask for the testimony of the Lambert family for tribal enrollment into the Eastern Band of Cherokee ask specifically to see the testimony of Albert Lambert and copy it and please share it. His was the most complete testimony of the family. Unfortunately when I was there they allowed me to copy only one testimony and I chose to copy the one by my own grandfather. My grandfather's testimony was good but I thought Albert's went into more detail.
This is the testimony that was given by the examiner of inheritance taken around 1927.. At one point there was a challenge to the right of the Lambert family to be included on the Tribal rolls. The Lamberts appealed that decision and upon examination were allowed to stay tribal members
