François-Xavier LAMBERT (1845 - 1918)
François-Xavier was born in 1845.[1]
He was likely the son of Gervais Lambert,[2] born in St-Léon-le-Grand (Bas Canada, now Québec, Canada) on February 2, 1810, and Aurélie Fréchette,[3] who both died in Kansas.[4]
He was thus likely to have been the brother of Hilaire Lambert[5] and Théophile Lambert, born on December 19, 1844 and May 16, 1850, respectively, both of whom were born in St-Léon-le-Grand (Bas Canada, now Québec, Canada) and died in Kansas.[6] However, the Dictionnaire Généalogique de l'ALA does not include François-Xavier among the 11 children of Gervais Lambert and Aurélie Fréchette.[6] At least 2 MyHeritage Correspondence records are in agreement with François-Xavier Lambert being indeed the son of Gervais Lambert and Aurélie Fréchette and the brother of Hilaire and Théophile Lambert.[7] The 11 children of Gervais and Aurélie shown in the Dictionnaire Généalogique de l'ALA were all born in St-Léon-le-Grand between 1832 and 1854 such that Gervais and Aurélie immigrated to Kansas after 1854.[6] There is no indication as to when the 3 brothers, François-Xavier, Hilaire and Théophile, immigrated to Kansas.
François-Xavier died in 1918 in Kankakee, Kankakee County, IL and was buried in Kankakee's St. Rose Cemetery in 1918.[1]
François-Xavier's ascendancy: François-Xavier -> Gervais - Gervais -> Gervais -> Gervais -> Michel -> Aubin Lambert (first ancestor born in France to immigrate to Canada).[6]
