Rebecca was born about 1790. She was the daughter of John Lambert and Phida UNKNOWN.
1850 - living in Stanly County with her sons Calvin and Green. Also in the household is Susan Almond, age 22, possibly Green's wife. Age 60. Pleasant and Ervin are living separately. [1] According to Pleasant's 1858 will, they had separated "many years ago."[2]
1870 - living in Almond, Stanly County with Larina McLure, born 1820; and Elizabeth McLure, age 25, possibly Larina's daughter. Rebecca's age is given as 75; she cannot read or write.[3]
Re: 1870 census: a Lovina Almond married James B. McLure on March 26, 1835 in Cabarrus County. Could she be the daughter of Pleasant & Rebecca, and has been confused with Lovinia Furr Almond, wife of Martin Almond?
