Biography

Albert James Lancaster was born in 1883, at Manilla, New South Wales, Australia.[1] He was the son of William Lancaster (1857-1927) and Emily Jane Hatch (1861-1929).

Albert married Maude Louisa Clarke (1881-1955) in 1906 in Singleton, New South Wales, Australia.[2] They had five children.

He passed away on 20 July 1925, at Manilla, New South Wales, Australia.[3]

After a long and painful illness extending over seven months - during which time he had consulted every avenue of the medical profession that might give him relief - Mr. Albert James Lancaster passed away in the Manilla District Hospital on Thursday morning, at 7 o'clock.

Deceased was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs. W. Lancaster of North Manilla, was 42 years of age, was born in Manilla and resided here all his life. Nineteen years ago he married Miss Clarke of Singleton, who with a family of five children - one son and four daughters - now survive him. The children are: - Gladys, Dorothy, Lett, Berrell, and Eric. Messrs William, Cecil, and Colin Lancaster are brothers and Mrs. McClinchy, Mrs J. Johnson, and Miss Nina Lancaster are sisters of the deceased.

The funeral takes place to-day (Friday), at 3 p.m. in the Church of England portion of the Manilla Cemetery.

The Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows, of which deceased was a member, will march in procession to the graveside.[4]
