Biography

Jean Baptiste was born on 12 May 1720 and baptized on 16 June 1720 in Grand-Pré.[1] He was the son of René Landry and Marie-Madeleine Melanson. His godparents were François Landry and Jeanne Melanson.[2][3]

Around 1751 he married Marie-Blanche LeBlanc, daughter of Charles LeBlanc and Marie Gautrot). [2]He was on the 1752 (LaRoque) census, age 51 years (sic); on 1766 census at St-Servan, age 44 years; on 1772 census at St-Malo, age 50 years.

They were listed in the 1752 La Roque census at Grande-Anse, Isle Saint-Jean with their nephew Charles Landry and their niece Theodose Boudrot.[4]

They were deported from Isle Saint-Jean to Boulogne-sur-Mer, France where they disembarked on 26 December 1758.[5]

Marie Blanche passed away in June 1777 at Nantes. Jean-Baptiste married Anne Michel, daughter of Louis MIchel and Marguerite Forest, widow of Joseph Dubois and Félix LeBlanc, on 21 October 1777 in Nantes at the age of 57 (his parents were named) (Register of St-Nicolas of Nantes). [6]

He passed away on 11 August 1783 at Saint-Jacques de Nantes and was buried there the next day.[2][6]

    Jean Landry, ploughman, native of l'Acadie, aged 51 years (sic), he has been in the country two years. Married to Marie Lablanche, native of l'Acadie, aged 24 years. They have Charles Landry, their nephew, aged 19 years, and Théodose Boudrot, their niece, aged 15 years.
    And in stock, three oxen, five cows, two heifers, one horse, and one ewe.
    The land upon which they are settled is situated at the further end of the Grande Anse, it was given to them verbally by Monsieur de Bonnaventure. On it they have made a clearing for the sowing of four bushels of wheat.</li>

Landry-1099 and Landry-5080 appear to represent the same person because: Dates of birth are different but estimated at 1713 by Hebert. Same dates of death

Could he be Jean Baptiste Landry. The place of death doesn't fit, but the date of birth, (1713; see Research Notes) and the date of death do.

Not sure this man belongs with this family. There was an unnamed child born about 1708. Can anyone provide a source?
