Biography

Marguerite Landry, daughter of Pierre Jean Landry and unknown, was born abt. 1801 in River Bourgeois, Cape Breton, and died 06 Sep 1853 in River Bourgeois, Nova Scotia Canada. She married Jean Samson abt. 1825 in River Bourgeois, Nova Scotia[1].

She is mentioned in Jean Samson's will, which says:

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret my share being the one fourth part of a lot of land containing one hundred acres situated at River Tear in the County of Richmond aforesaid. Also my share or one fourth part of all the lots of land on the Point on which I reside on the Grand Goulet Island or elsewhere...
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret all my household furniture and all the rest of my personal property after paying from the same the expenses of my funeral and Forty Dollars to the priest of this Parish for masses for the repose of my soul...
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret all the residue of my Estate real personal or mixed of which I shall die seujedor possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease to have and to hold the same to her and her executors and administrators and assigns forever.
