The Samuel Langdon son of Samuel (1722-1797) and Elizabeth was deceased prior to 1797. He had just one child Elizabeth. In his will written in September 1797, Samuel Langdon made a bequest to his granddaughter Elizabeth Langdon the only child of eldest son Samuel Langdon “whom it pleased God to take from me in the prime of his life” who receives all his remaining lands in Rochester including 140 acres in lot number 58 and seventy acres in lot number 13. Elizabeth also receives four hundred dollars. Elizabeth receives any residue of the personal estate after the decease of her grandmother.[1]

Dr. of Portsmouth, during his passage from the West Indies -- this was reported in the 14 January 1773 news issue which suggests the death occurred around December 1772.[2]
